The region’s scenic highlights are found in the spectacular, snow-capped Caucasus mountains and their lush, forested foothills, abundant with springs and beautiful nature spots. In the afternoon, take a tour of Baku’s medieval core, the UNESCO-protected Old City. After breakfast, check out from your hotel by 08:30 and head to Gabala, a journey of around 4-5 hours. En route, visit the Shamakhi Juma Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in the Caucasus, dating back to the 9th century.
